Her experience spans a period of 24 years, and during this journey, she has held numerous certifications including Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor, and Multiple Sclerosis Aquatic Instructor (MS Society).

kaitlyn-britt-our-team.jpg

Kaitlyn’s passion is to equip children with the right tools, guidance, training, and encouragement to be able to be safe and to have the time of their lives in the water.

Kaitlyn has always lived with the water in her backyard. Whether it was the ocean in Florida, the Caribbean while traveling, or the creeks and rivers that were everywhere in the jungles of their home in Belize, Kaitlyn's parents taught her about the water and swimming.

In Belize, they didn’t have swim coaches or swim lessons, and many people were in danger without having practical swimming skills. It didn't take long before Kaitlyn was teaching her friends how to swim in the rivers nearby.

After moving to the United States, she still saw many kids unable to have the joy, confidence, and safety of enjoying the water - so she started teaching swim lessons. However, this time, she had more technique, training, practice and lifeguard experience (and a pool instead of rivers. Fewer snakes that way).

Amber has been a swimmer her ENTIRE life! Starting on summer swim teams at age 3 and continuing up through college. The water is a passion of hers and so is teaching, which is why her job is so fulfilling.

Amber began coaching when she was eighteen. Amber started assisting the coaches with summer swim teams in Texas and had a blast helping all of the swimmers. After moving to Nashville in 1999, Amber began teaching private lessons, pre-school classes, as well as swim teams.

I have been teaching swim lessons for 10+ years for all age and ability levels. I swam competitively for 17 years and was a varsity swim team member for 4 years at an NCAA DII School, California University of Pennsylvania. I was also on the varsity water polo team for 4 years in high school. My favorite part about teaching swim lessons is being able to share my knowledge and love for swimming with others. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my dog Zulu.
