Join Our Barracudas Swim Team @GJCC
Located in West Nashville/Belle Meade
Our swim team (Barracudas) introduces the sport of swimming in a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment, fostering a love for swimming among homeschooled students from 1st to 12th grade. Our 2025 Fall Program begins September 9 and will have practices every Tuesday and Thursday from 1–2 pm at the GJCC in the West Nashville/Belle Meade area. The GJCC offers a newly renovated indoor pool, year-round swimming, and first-class amenities.
During the program, participants will learn basic strokes and breathing techniques, progressing to more advanced strokes. We incorporate teaching tools like noodles and kickboards to make learning enjoyable and low-pressure. Our swim team programs are designed to be fun, safe, educational, and encouraging.

What You Need To Know About the Barracudas Swim Team
Here is what you need to know about this years's non-competitive Barracudas swim team.

Once you fill out the form, no other action is needed. A reminder email will go out reminding parents about tryouts.
Tryouts will be on:
Tuesday, September 9th from 1-2pm
Invoices will be sent out after tryouts.

Your swimmer(s) must be able to swim the length of the GJCC pool which is 25 yards. If your swimmer is not quite there and not ready for swim team, we will recommend private swim lessons with the possibility of your swimmer(s) joining the swim team later in the season.

Yes! We'll hold tryouts on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at GJCC from 1-2pm.

The fee for the season is $400. We will invoice you on the first day of each month if you choose to pay monthly for four months.

Swimsuit, towel and goggles.

Occasionally, practice will be canceled due to inclement weather or circumstances beyond our control. There are no makeup days.

Unfortunately, there are no refunds for swim team.

Yes! We understand that occasionally, you’ll have to miss a practice. Just know that there are no refunds for missed practices.
